International society hosts meeting with THI & TMC colleagues to discuss “Tackling the CTO”
Texas Heart Institute’s Director of Peripheral Vascular Diseases, President of the International Society of Endovascular Specialists (ISEVS) and founding member of the local ISEVS chapter, Dr. Zvonimir Krajcer, co-chaired the ISEVS Houston Chapter quarterly dinner meeting on Dec. 4, 2018 at the Hotel ZaZa in Houston, TX.
This Texas Medical Center wide meeting included challenging case presentations and discussions by physicians in training, moderators and participants on the topic of “Tackling the CTO” (Chronic Total Occlusion) for treatment of cerebrovascular disease, coronary and peripheral arterial disease.
“The ISEVS meetings give our fellows important opportunities to interact with leaders from institutions across the TMC and this interactive learning environment is essential to the professional development of our next generations of leaders in cardiovascular care,” according to Stephanie Coulter, Director THI Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program.
More than 50 local ISEVS members, invited guests and industry representatives were present at the meeting. “This rapidly growing Houston ISEVS Chapter continues to promote multidisciplinary education and serves as an example to other ISEVS chapters worldwide,” said Dr. Krajcer.
