Mark J. Villalpando, MA

Originally from Shiner, Texas, Mark is a Houston artist and graphic designer. He has been involved in marketing or creating graphic work for over 20 years. As a painter, Mark's artwork is created out of the need to inform people about the complex social struggles of Chicano and indigenous people. Before he came to The Texas Heart Institute, he was a Houston-area high school art educator and adjunct professor. In addition to art and design, Mark enjoys traveling, working out, cooking, home remodeling, and gardening. He and his partner are also the proud owners of two fur babies: Chito and Frida.
