Question:
Are my symptoms consistent with atherosclerosis?
Can atherosclerosis cause ones heart to feel like it is pumping harder but beating slower? Also can it cause bouts of weakness/fatigue and shaky legs that may last a few weeks at a time? I see cardiologist in a few weeks for another test but just wondering about my symptoms. Thanks.

Dear Kay: Your symptoms are not the ones that we associate with atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis nevertheless is a very broad term. A more precise answer would require more specific patient information.
