Overview:

We will briefly explore the history clinical guidelines recommendations for noninvasive imaging assessment in patients with suspected and established coronary artery disease.  We will then cover key concepts of two new 2021 recommendations to better choosing the best test in patients with coronary syndromes, acute or chronic.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of the activity a participant should be able to:

  1. Use concepts of Baysian analysis of pretest probability of disease to guide management
  2. Better differentiate cardiac from non-cardiac chest pains (which reads no testing)
  3. Apply new concepts for ischemia no obstructive coronary arteries (INOCA)
