Special Noon Conference | Navin Kapur, MD

Navin K. Kapur, MD, FAHA, FACC, FSCAI

Dr. Kapur is a cardiologist and Professor of Medicine at Tufts University in Boston who is internationally recognized for his work in heart failure and cardiogenic shock.  He founded one of the most prominent multicenter shock networks in the United States, an initiative that has resulted in deep phenotyping and innovative management strategies for this patient cohort and fostered opportunities for learning and scholarship.

Dr. Kapur’s laboratory is currently supported by two RO1 awards examining Endoglin as a therapeutic target in heart failure and the use of innovative approaches to mitigate myocardial injury in patients supported with VA ECMO. He has published more than 240 manuscripts in prominent journals such as Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, JAMA, and Lancet. In addition to his scholarly activities, Dr. Kapur has a reputation as an outstanding clinician and educator.
