Dr. Nishant R. Shah earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. He then moved to Houston, where he completed his internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine and his cardiology fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute. Next, Dr. Shah completed his advanced cardiovascular imaging fellowship at Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School while concurrently earning an MPH at the Harvard School of Public Health. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Brown University Alpert Medical School and an Assistant Professor of Health Services, Policy and Practice at the Brown University School of Public Health. He serves at the Director of Cardiovascular Imaging at the Providence VA Medical Center and his research focuses on improving the quality and cost-effectiveness of cardiac testing for patients with known or suspected heart disease.
