Community Health Fair & Walk

On May 5, 2018, Phenomenal Pearls Educational and Charitable Foundation (PPECF) is partnering with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated’s Chi Omicron Omega Chapter for a Community Health Fair.  Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated’s Chi Omicron Omega Chapter is a community service organization dedicated to serving Katy, Alief, Cypress-Fairbanks, West Houston, and Richmond, TX, by implementing meaningful programs within these communities with the goal of fulfilling the purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. to be of Service to All Mankind.

This community health fair is held at Hicks Elementary School in Alief ISD.  This is a yearly event in which health and treatment strategies are presented to the community to promote healthy lifestyles.  The event begins with a health walk then continues with the health fair.  Several vendors are in attendance representing various healthcare entities such as personal fitness, heart health, health screenings and dental health.  Healthy snacks and grab bags are also provided with the help of community partners.

Phenomenal Pearls Educational and Charitable Foundation (PPECF) is a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization that serves the Katy, Alief, Cypress, Richmond, Rosenberg, and West Houston areas. PPECF provides scholarships to deserving students, promotes health awareness programs, and dedicates a significant number of volunteer service hours to the overall enrichment and development of adults and children in the communities we serve.
