Celebrating the Top Stories of 2022

As we reflect on this past year and look forward to 2023, we wanted to share with you some of the highlights that resonated with our website visitors.

The most recent news was leadership’s decision to officially become The Texas Heart Institute® and to rebrand the medical practice as The Texas Heart Institute® Center for Cardiovascular Care. As a single entity with shared values, we hope that it brings us closer to our vision of BRINGING THE FUTURE OF CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH TO LIFE™.

With nearly 12 million visits to the website from around the world already this year, texasheart.org is just one of the ways The Institute is helping to educate people on the importance of heart health. A small selection of this year’s most-read stories highlights the many advances and contributions to our mission to improve cardiovascular health today through trailblazing research, thought leadership, education, and patient care.

The most-read story of 2022 celebrates the arrival of cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr. Marc Moon, in February. Other highlights include a new memorial scholarship for perfusion students, a touching story of how a doctor diagnosed his own father and found a whole team of experts to bring him back to health, and the promising future of smartwatch technology to read EKGs at home. A story introducing the new fellows joining us in July of 2023 was also among our most-read posts.

As The Texas Heart Institute has grown and evolved over the last sixty years, one thing has never changed – its commitment to excellence.
