THI Journal Special Section | Women (Online CME Available)

The Women’s Heart & Vascular Symposium is hosted annually by Texas Heart Institute Center for Women’s Heart & Vascular Health and is published as a Special Section in the Texas Heart Institute Journal as enduring education.  The 9th Annual Women’s Heart & Vascular Symposium highlighted some of the most current topics in women’s heart and vascular health today.

“Cardiovascular disease (CVD) and stroke affect women differently across race and ethnicity. Cultural, educational, and economic disparities further complicate prevention efforts such as screening and risk factor management, diagnosis and treatment selection, and patient compliance and cooperation.  Our Special Journal Section features relevant, women-focused research and offers current insights for all medical professionals caring for women today.” — Dr. Stephanie Coulter, Symposium Course Director, and Special Section Editor
