The invited faculty will discuss recent ACC consensus on the role of non-statin therapies in care of patients with cardiovascular disease, ACC/AHA guidelines for heart failure management, treatment strategies and barriers to care for women with heart disease, the indications, risks and benefits of non-invasive assessment of chest pain and intravascular coronary imaging and more.
Course Directors: Joseph G. Rogers, MD and Juan Carlos Plana, MD
This half-day virtual symposium will discuss topics such as the recent ACC consensus on the role of non-statin therapies in the care of patients with cardiovascular disease, review updated ACC/AHA guidelines for heart failure management, identify patients that would benefit from multiple arterial conduits in coronary artery bypass and how post-operative management differs, discuss treatment strategies and barriers to care for women with heart disease, and explain the risks and benefits of transcatheter aortic valve replacement in patients with bicuspid valves. Our audience will include, but is not limited to, cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, general medicine practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, residents, and fellows.
