Texas Heart Institute’s Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME) provides comprehensive and innovative CME activities that are designed to increase medical knowledge and skills, and ultimately change practice behavior, methods or procedures in cardiovascular medicine and other medical specialties.

Our Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME) has been recognized as an accredited provider for over 35 years, and in 2016 was awarded Accreditation with Commendation by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

Diabetes Update 2018

In addition to ensuring diabetic patients receive the most effective treatments, identifying optimal therapeutic interventions is crucial to preventing cardiovascular and other complications often associated with diabetes. This performance improvement-based CME program for physicians is designed to address professional practice gaps noted by the American Diabetes Association as it relates to knowledge and awareness of the collaborative approach to care and impacts this can have on patient quality measures.
