Weekend Wellness: Fit Houston Fest at The Brenda and John Duncan YMCA

The Fit Houston Fest at The Brenda and John Duncan YMCA was a huge success, combining education and fun in a family-friendly environment. The event aimed to educate attendees on a healthier, more active lifestyle. A highlight of the event was undoubtedly the bike rodeo, made possible thanks to Precinct 1 and Fernando Martinez, and fitness instructors delighted the crowd throughout the morning. Community members of all ages enjoyed the high-energy pop-up style event, and families received valuable education on bike safety. To ensure the safety of children, over 30 helmets were donated during the event to kids participating in the bike rodeo course. However, the fun did not stop there, Fleet Feet, a local athletic wear store, donated $1500 worth of HOKA shoes to the event. This in-kind donation was incredibly generous and greatly appreciated by everyone involved. Many community members made the Fit Houston Fest with the Brenda and John Duncan YMCA a fun and memorable event!
