Houston Leaders Unite Around #WALK30 Health Campaign

The Texas Heart Institute (THI) and Fit Houston partnered to promote #WALK30, a health campaign that combines The Texas Heart Institute’s industry-leading research, thought leadership, education, and patient care with Fit Houston’s strategy-led delivery of community wellness movements built on cultural empathy.

The #WALK30 campaign kicks off in January 2023 and creates a pathway for CEOs, organizational leaders, families, and individuals to “Take the Healthy Pledge” and inspire others to walk for 30 minutes each day – wherever they are. The inception of this campaign stemmed from the Fit Houston team’s successful Equity Pitch to prominent Business and Civic leaders who participated in the inaugural cohort of the Houston 2036 Taskforce on Equity. This citywide initiative brings leaders together to create and act upon a powerful vision of social justice for Houston’s future.

To support the campaign launch, The Texas Heart Institute produced a special Inside the Studio series to allow Houston leaders to share their reason for participating in the #WALK30 movement.
