Trotter YMCA National Go Red Day with THI

In observance of American Heart Month, and in celebration of National Wear Red Day ® on February 2nd, 2017, Dr. Stephanie Coulter will discuss new developments in preventing, diagnosing and treating the number one killer of men and women alike — heart & vascular disease. Never before have physicians had so many options to treat cardiovascular disease and new studies offer hope for future generations. Since 1962, the Texas Heart Institute (THI)’s mission has been to reduce the devastating toll of cardiovascular disease through innovative programs in research, education and improved patient care, and Dr. Coulter is recognized as one of the most energetic and vocal advocates of this important mission in the region and nationally. As THI’s Director of Cardiology Education and the Cardiology Fellowship, she is ensuring our future cardiologists, as well as her community, are well informed. Additionally, Dr. Coulter is the Director of THI’s Center for Women’s Heart & Vascular Health, where she is pioneering research to make a significant impact on prevention and treatment for women.
