he%20patient%20underwent%20procainamide%20challenge%2C%20which%20was%20initially%20felt%20to%20be%20positive.%20Serum%20lamotrigine%20level%20was%20subsequently%20reported%20in%20the%20toxic%20range%20at%2020.4%20%5Cu03bcg%5C%2FmL%20%28therapeutic%20range%2C%201-4%20%5Cu03bcg%5C%2FmL%29.%20Repeated%20procainamide%20challenge%20was%20performed%20with%20lamotrigine%20levels%20below%20the%20therapeutic%20range%20%280.2%20%5Cu03bcg%5C%2FmL%29%20and%20failed%20to%20show%20diagnostic%20ECG%20changes.%5CnCONCLUSIONS%3A%20Lamotrigine%2C%20at%20toxic%20levels%2C%20may%20lose%20specificity%20and%20exert%20an%20effect%20on%20cardiac%20sodium%20channels%2C%20a%20phenomenon%20that%20has%20not%20been%20previously%20described.%20Given%20previous%20reports%20of%20associations%20between%20the%20drug-induced%20Brugada%20ECG%20pattern%20and%20ventricular%20dysrhythmias%2C%20clinicians%20should%20be%20aware%20of%20this%20potential%20effect.%22%2C%22date%22%3A%222010%20Sep-Oct%22%2C%22language%22%3A%22eng%22%2C%22DOI%22%3A%2210.1097%5C%2FWNF.0b013e3181e8ac66%22%2C%22ISSN%22%3A%221537-162X%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22%22%2C%22collections%22%3A%5B%22XN54E3DB%22%5D%2C%22dateModified%22%3A%222018-05-02T19%3A14%3A46Z%22%7D%7D%5D%7D
