Question:

My friend has had 5 stents placed in his heart, and was fine for the first week.  He again had chest pain, returned to the hospital, and all testing was negative.  He still has chest pain when he eats.  What could be causing this?

About a gazillion things. Having no idea what the tests were, or what they likely ruled out, it’s rather pointless speculating. I would need to know what’s been ruled out so far before going forward. It is best to ask the physician what the residual chest pain may represent. Having said all that, it sounds Gastrointestinal in origin.
