Question:

Are there any robotic procedures for pulmonary valve replacement on a person with Tetralogy of Fallot?

Are there any robotic procedures to do a pulmonary valve replacement on a Tetralogy of Fallot individual yet? My son has to have his PV replaced and we are looking at options. We have been to heart centers in Atlanta and Durham, North Carolina already. No one has spoken about robotics at this point. What is the success rate if it in fact has been done, or is it to soon to have data on this? Any information would be greatly appreciated on this subject. Thank you so much for your time.

I have not heard of any robotic options for your request, nor could I imagine having the proper angles to perform a pulmonary valve replacement safely with current robotic technology.
