In the context of the current landscape of the field of clinical regenerative medicine, it is important for investigators to share new findings, discuss and debate the state of the field to direct further development, and build the framework for clinical implementation. This meeting will provide an important forum for these activities.

Unlike areas with recognized, evidence-based knowledge, the field of clinical stem cell therapy is a nascent field in which most of the competence and performance issues are unestablished. We have the need for knowledge and application of that knowledge to establish successful strategies in clinical regenerative medicine.
