Karis Tang-Quan

Karis Tang-Quan is a PhD student in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M and an NSF Graduate Research Fellow studying the mechanical effects of stimulation on the recellularized heart. Her prior research experiences include the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute, the Cardiovascular Regenerative Medicine Lab at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, and the Transplant and Stem Cell Immunobiology lab in Germany. She has spent 15 years in labs starting with early research experiences at UCLA and UCSD. Karis graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Biomechanical Engineering, where she was also editor-in-chief of the Stanford Undergraduate Research Journal.
