Julie K. Voss, CFRE

Julie Voss is the Vice President for Development at the Texas Heart Institute. She provides management, oversight, and strategic direction for the Institute’s philanthropic activities, including principal, planned, major, and annual gifts, corporate and foundation relations, special events, and donor support services. Julie is an accomplished development executive with more than 25 years of experience as a leader, fundraiser, and strategist. She has focused the majority of her career on major gift and campaign fundraising, coupled with leadership and board development. Show full bio

Julie initiated and successfully completed three philanthropic campaigns, the largest being $100 million to fund the capital, research, and programmatic needs of Memorial Hermann Health System’s neuroscience and trauma programs.

Julie spent more than a decade at the Memorial Hermann Foundation, where she served as Vice President and raised more than $250 million to support the System’s philanthropic priorities. She also served in executive roles for several other organizations, including the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the University of Texas Medical Branch, the American Heart Association, and the American Cancer Society.

Julie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from the University of Houston Downtown. She has been credentialed as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) since 2009. She is a former board member for the Association of Fundraising Professionals–Greater Houston Chapter and is a founding member and past president of the National Charity League’s Space City Chapter.
