Overview:
Dr. Murry will discuss stem cell-based heart regeneration to prevent and reverse heart failure.
Objectives:
At the conclusion of the activity a participant should be able to:
- Identify the principal benefits and risks of cardiomyocyte replacement therapy.
- Distinguish the potential of cardiomyocyte therapy from previously attempted adult cell therapies in cardiac repair.
- Assess the impact of gene editing technologies in understanding and preventing cardiomyocyte engraftment arrhythmias.
