Stem Cell Therapies 2020: Are We There Yet?

Stem cell-based interventions offer great hope to patients with debilitating illnesses and injuries. However, only a limited number of therapies are approved for clinical use. At this event, a panel of experts will describe the stem cell therapy landscape. The discussants will highlight the available treatments today, describe why even negative clinical data can lead to new interventions, and evaluate recent incidents of unregulated stem cells harming patients.

This event is part of an annual policy lecture series co-sponsored by the Baker Institute Center for Health and Biosciences and the Texas Heart Institute. Support for the program has been provided by a grant from the George and Mary Josephine Hamman Foundation.
