Monday, April 27 marks the first day of Perfusion Week 2020, AmSECT’s annual recognition of the dedication of perfusionists around the world. This year, AmSECT seeks to recognize the dedication and incredible work done by all healthcare professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the pandemic, it may be difficult for our perfusionists to step away from their responsibilities or gather as a team.
We hope and encourage the community to take every opportunity to recognize and collectively reflect on perfusionists’ impact in our healthcare system, particularly as we face these unprecedented circumstances.
Texas Heart Institute is joining the perfusion community around the world to share our changing environments and show appreciation of the amazing work of all our healthcare colleagues.
Please join us in recognizing the hard work of perfusionists by sharing your photos and stories on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn with the hashtag #PerfusionWeek.
For our School of Perfusion Technology alumni and colleagues around the world treating COVID-19 patients, we appreciate your commitment and service day in and day out. You are an integral part of any healthcare facility, and we hope you stay safe.
