The Advances in Critical Care Conference provides an opportunity to connect with colleagues, network and collaborate with critical care experts, and explore cutting-edge tools, technologies and processes. Bringing together all members of the multidisciplinary team caring for the critically ill patient, this joint medical and surgical critical care two-day event will feature internationally renowned faculty and content sessions highlighting evidence-based developments in critical care. The panel sessions will feature discussions on sepsis, ARDS, trauma, ECMO, shock, acute kidney injury and highlighted by a lunchtime keynote address on the clinical conundrum of analgesia, sedation, and delirium management to promote ICU Liberation.


This course provides the opportunity to discuss treatment challenges to update one’s practice as well as breakout sessions to promote facility with technologies routinely utilized to manage patients. Finally, guidelines, algorithms, and other organizational features necessary to running a highly effective ICU will be shared. Participants will have the opportunity to talk directly to expert faculty sharing their experiences in avoiding pitfalls, recognizing clinical pearls, and enhancing staff well-being.


Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the activity the participant should be able to

  • Use the skills gained to implement more efficient/accurate diagnosis processes and treatment techniques to provide improved care for critically ill patients
  • Utilize ECMO, percutaneous mechanical support devices, REBOA, and other tools in the management of critically ill patients.


Target Audience

This course is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and other medical care providers who maintain the state-of-the-are knowledge required to care for medical and surgical critical care patients.
