The Texas Heart Institute 12th Annual Women’s Heart & Vascular Symposium held May 6, 2023 focuses on guidelines updates, risks, assessment & prevention, and treatment updates for women.

We will discuss rhythm control therapy in atrial fibrillation (AF) and heart failure, choosing the proper antimicrobial therapy and management of infected cardiovascular implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), new recommendations and appropriate guidelines for use of devices in patients with heart failure, and other related topics.

2023 Cardiac Arrhythmia Symposium

The 2023 Global Cardiovascular Forum highlights new guidelines, new approaches, technologies, and procedures in the care of cardiovascular patients to educate a national and international audience of physicians about the recent changes to the practice of cardiology. The invited faculty will discuss current ACC consensus on the role of non-statin therapies in the care of patients with cardiovascular disease, ACC/AHA guidelines for heart failure management, treatment strategies and barriers to care for women with heart disease, the indications, risks, and benefits of non-invasive assessment of chest pain and intravascular coronary imaging and more.
