Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital's Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program helps people who have experienced a cardiac event or heart disease recover faster and return to full and productive lives. The goals of our program are to improve your physical fitness, increase your understanding of heart disease, and provide support for your lifestyle changes.
We provide all patients with a multidisciplinary team of a physician, nurses, exercise physiologists, a dietitian, and a stress counselor to help you achieve your heart-health goals.
Treatment
Texas Heart Institute offers two main programs:
PHASE II—Phase II cardiac rehabilitation is medically supervised by Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) trained exercise physiologists and Registered Nurses.
PHASE III—Phase III cardiac rehabilitation is an independent exercise program with daily staff review that is medically supervised by ACLS trained exercise physiologists and Registered Nurses.
