Saturday, May 6: Stomp Out Stroke Festival
The Texas Heart Institute will have two booths at this year’s Stomp Out Stroke Festival! Visit with our Center for Women’s Heart & Vascular Health team at the event to receive life-saving information and learn about ways your family can get involved with programs aimed at prevention of stroke and vascular diseases.
THI Heart Health Ambassadors Alex Wallace, Esmeralda Miranda and Amanda DeJesus will also be at the festival running Project Heart workshops. These workshops are designed to help kids learn about the anatomy of the heart and circulatory system, how to make healthy eating choices using MyPlate, and understand why physical activity is important to the entire circulation system. Kids will earn a Cool-E badge for participating in the activities.
The festival will be held at Discovery Green located at 1500 McKinney St. Houston, TX 77010. Registration is required to participate, but the festival is free and open to the public. Bring you family and friends to this fun and informative event. Don't miss out - register today!
