Friday, September 29: Houston HeartReach Screening with BakerRipley

THI’s Center for Women’s Heart and Vascular Health is conducting Houston HeartReach health screenings at the Cleveland-Ripley Neighborhood Center (720 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, TX 77504) from 8 am to noon on September 29, 2017. Women are encouraged to attend the event and participate in the health screenings to learn more about their own risk. Registration is required and space is limited so register online today to reserve your space. (Registration key is "THI2017")

Wednesday, October 4 (NEW DATE!): Texas Heart Institute/Baker Institute Stem Cell Policy Series

The Texas Heart Institute and Baker Institute Center for Health and Biosciences will lead a panel discussion on H.B. 810, or “Charlie’s Law,” which was new legislation passed in the 85th Texas Legislative Session. Texas State Legislature members and researchers from the THI and Rice University Baker Institute will discuss the scope and impact of Charlie’s Law on research and health care, and how best to protect patients moving forward. The event will be held at Rice University in the James A. Baker III Hall (6100 Main Street, Houston, TX 77005) from 8:30 to 11 am. Registration is required to attend and free.
