Question:
Is valve replacement the only option for aortic valve stenosis?
As we know, for Aortic Stenosis, replacement is only option for severe or symptomatic valve. For atherosclerotic stenosis, any other option available?...like resection of plaque...or laser removal .....any other option than replacement?

Aortic valve replacement is the principal treatment for stenosis (or obstruction) of the aortic valve. Aortic valve repairs can be done, rarely, in patients with insufficiency (or leakage) of the valve. Again, valve replacement is the predominate treatment for disease of the aortic valve. Atherosclerosis only occurs in arteries, not in valves.
