Question:
Do these results mean my mother's cancer is back?
MY MOTHER HAS LUNG CANCER. THE LAST PET SCAN SHOWED NO SIGN OF CANCER. NOW SHE HAS FLUID AROUND HER LUNGS AND IT HAD BLOOD IN THE FLUID. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? DOES THIS MEAN THAT THE CANCER IS BACK?

I would suggest you discuss this with her oncologist. There is no way to know for sure if this means a return of cancer unless the fluid is sampled and analyzed.
