Question:
Can medication cause my rapid heart beat?
I have rapid heart beat while resting, usually in the early morning. Can this be caused by medication? I am using high blood pressure meds. Have tried statins, with negative results (muscle tightening and muscle cramps). I am seeing my GP this week, and would like to have some dependable information regarding this matter.

Some blood pressure medications that work by being vasodilators could result in faster heart rates, particularly in the morning when people are usually dehydrated.
