Does mitral valve prolapse prohibit or affect mountain climbing?
submitted by Gabi from Cairo, Egypt on 10/20/09
Answer:

It depends upon the degree of prolapse, mostly if there is associated mitral regurgitation (leakage) or rhythm irregularities. Generally with benign mitral prolapse, not at all.
