Question:

Can any of my medications be discontinued now that I’ve had my heart valve replaced?

Having had aortic heart valve replaced with a tissue valve a year ago, will I ever be able to stop taking beta blockers (Metoprolol 25 mg and Losartan 100 mg) and aspirin?

Aspirin, no. The other meds are probably given for a reason other than the one that led to the AVR. As such, discontinuing them would depend on whether there’s an ongoing need for them (e.g., coronary artery disease, hypertension). Please discuss these with your cardiologist.
