Question:

Will my bicuspid aortic valve require replacement?

I just saw my heart doc. A year ago they said it was an 8 or 9. Now he said it was somewhere around a 6. Said I would need replaced probably within 2 years. Just wondering if that is correct? I am 64. My aortic valve is bicuspid. Thanks – Just concerned.

Based on the limited information available, it is likely that you will need replacement of the aortic valve within the next two years. I agree with your doctor’s advice.
