Question:

Is a third open heart surgery possible for my father-in-law?

My father-in-law had a valve replacement and bypass surgery in 2003 and then in 2006, he got 2 stents in his coronary arteries. Then a second operation was a triple bypass in 2011, and now his valve which was replaced is disintegrating. Is a third bypass surgery possible?

Yes, the operation is possible but would be technically difficult due to adhesions. If may be necessary, however, if the valve has deteriorated.
