Can the medicine Flagyl cause abnormal EKG and/or stress test results?

I had an ekg done during my yearly visit.  I had been taking the medicine, Flagyl, for bacterial infection.  My ekg came back abnormal. He gave me another course of Flagyl because my infection hadn't cleared up, then did a stress test.  It was abnormal.  Now he wants to do a nuclear stress test.  My blood pressure and cholesterol levels are excellent.  Can Flagyl make your ekg and stress test abnormal?
