There are several explanations for your complaints four weeks after bypass surgery. All patients have some shortness of breath and lack of energy after a surgical procedure. Swelling of the feet can be as a result of fluid retention or some other problems related to your surgery such as heart failure or fluid around the heart. These should be discussed with your physician.
