Question:
Can a sclerotic aortic valve be healed?
submitted Waleed from Jordan on 2/10/2013
Answer:
by Texas Heart Institute cardiologist, Jorge F. Guttin, MD
Mostly age, plus other factors contribute to this finding. The sclerosis is not reversible, and the rate of its advance cannot be predicted. By itself without evidence of stenosis, it should not cause major problems.
