Question:
Are there restrictions on physical activity after endovascular repair of an aneurysm?
Are there any general long-term physical activity restrictions (particularly lifting) following endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm stent placement? By long-term, I mean at least a year post-op without complications.

Answer:

The only reports of graft separation have been with strenuous abdominal stretching such as rowing or sit-ups. Newer grafts are less likely to have this problem, however, it certainly can occur.
