Can my left arm pain between shoulder and elbow be heart related?

I have arm pain in left arm which seems radiating from shoulder and can be felt in between shoulder and the elbow. The pain seems to worsen when I raise my arm to around shoulder level. Can this be heart related?

by Texas Heart Institute cardiologist, Neil E. Strickman, MD

Neil E. Strickman, MDAny pains can be heart related, however what you have described is atypical for heart disease.  Age, blood pressure, diet, family history, and cholesterol levels are all important factors in deciding what the next step would be. Good luck.
