Question:

Can CoQ10 make your heart beat harder?

Can CoQ10 make your heart beat harder and if so, should you take it with an irregular heart? Also can gas in your stomach cause same?

submitted by Sue from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 11/27/2011

Answer:

by Texas Heart Institute cardiologist, Surendra K. Jain, MD

Surendra K. Jain, MDExcept for anecdotal references, there is no evidence that CoQ10 makes the heart beat stronger or more regular.  Gas in the stomach does not cause cardiac irregularities, but can make a person more aware of them.
