What is a diagnosis, "ectatic aorta"? I am scheduled for a CT of the chest with contrast.

J. Michael Duncan, MDAn ectatic aorta describes one which is dilated, whether a little or significantly.  If it is the latter, this implies that treatment may be necessary. A CT scan can provide useful information.
