Echo Review Boot Camp for 2024 Echo Board

The Houston Echo Review is a two-day hybrid course of lectures, interactive discussions, and case presentations designed to prepare cardiovascular specialists for the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE) examinations. The course will be a fast-paced review of topics similar to those covered in the ASCeXAM scheduled for July 2024.

2024 Perfusion Conference | #PerfCon2024

The Texas Heart Institute 2024 Perfusion Conference is designed to provide the multi-disciplinary team involved in the care of the cardiac patient with the most recent information regarding surgical and perfusion techniques. Experts in the fields of  cardiothoracic surgery, anesthesia, critical care medicine, and perfusion technology will present current best practices for patient care. This hybrid symposium will include two days of scientific sessions, case presentations, and panel discussions.

2nd Annual Perioperative Mechanical Circulatory Support Symposium (Adult & Pediatric) & Cutting-Edge Critical Care Echocardiography Workshop

The 2nd Annual Perioperative MCS Symposium is a 2-day hybrid course. The symposium will take advantage of modern educational concepts to provide clinically relevant material through an interprofessional and multidisciplinary approach to the perioperative management of patients undergoing mechanical circulatory support (MCS). In addition, a complementary advanced critical care echocardiography (CCE) workshop will be offered. The highly interactive approach puts the learner in the position of the clinician needing to make both simple and more complex decisions commonly faced when providing MCS and utilizing CCE. Concurrent sessions focused on adult and pediatric patient populations will provide attendees with the latest perspectives on MCS care for patients of all ages.

Global Cardiovascular Symposium

The 2024 Global Cardiovascular Forum highlights new guidelines, approaches, technologies, and procedures in the care of the cardiovascular patient to educate a national and international audience of physicians in the recent changes to the practice of cardiology. The faculty will discuss recent ACC/AHA guidelines, aortic stenosis, transcatheter aortic valve replacement versus surgical replacement in younger patients, percutaneous coronary intervention versus coronary bypass grafting, treatment strategies and barriers to caring for underrepresented patients with heart disease, the indications, risks and benefits of non-invasive assessment of chest pain and intravascular coronary imaging and novel treatments for atrial fibrillation.
