CME Information - Overview

This presentation discusses the pathophysiology of load-induced heart disease and examines several pathways which may emerge as novel therapeutic targets.

Educational Objectives
The intended result of this activity is increased knowledge. At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to-

 
  • Recognize fundamental aspects of the pathophysiology of load-induced heart failure and strategies to slow, arrest, or reverse disease progression.
  • Describe the role of autophagy in the cardiomyocyte response to stress.
  • Summarize the role of HDACs and FoxO as potential targets of novel therapy.
  •  

Target Audience
The intended audience for this continuing medical education activity includes cardiologists and others with an interest in the pathology of cardiac remodeling.

Method of Instruction / Participation
