An attitude of gratitude
almost come to the end of a remarkable 50th anniversary year at the
Texas Heart Institute, and I want to thank you and wish you the happiest of
holidays. We celebrate the season with a definite attitude of gratitude.
For the 22nd
consecutive year, THI remains ranked among the nation's top 10 heart centers
and our ground-breaking, life-saving research and education programs continue
We close out
the year with more forward momentum in this week's announcement that THI, after
a nationwide competition, was chosen as the Biorepository Core Lab for the
National Heart Lung and Blood Institute's network of cardiac stem cell research
facilities, the Cardiovascular Cell Therapy Research
we will store, catalog and make available for approved research adult stem
cells to laboratories throughout the nation engaged in this game-changing
research. It is an honor and responsibility we gladly accept and, again, it is
largely due to you and your support.
You made it all possible. You helped us save
lives. You helped us reach out to women and children to support their heart
health through new research, education and community programs. You allowed us
to provide more services than ever. You propelled our research teams forward.
You came to our anniversary gala. You wrote a check and/or made a pledge to
support what we do.
our success is due to you. And we are very grateful.
Here's wishing you and your loved ones a very
Merry Christmas and a safe, happy and heart-healthy New Year.
With respect and gratitude,
