Texas Heart Fun Run

October 2021 | Houston Texas

The 2020 event is postponed due to COVID-19.

He Is Back!

The year 2013 was tough for The Great Pumpkin. He put on a few pounds. His vines were flabby. His shoes no longer fit, and his stem hurt. So, we let him take a break after an incredible run of 17 events that began in 1992.

GUESS WHAT? He is back and better than ever. He is on a heart-healthy diet, exercising regularly and, his skin is glowing. Our orange friend is ready to return to celebrate Halloween, see his old friends and meet new ones — especially the kids. In fact, he insists on serving as a judge in the children’s costume contest.

This is an event you don’t want to miss. Live entertainment — Dr. Billy Cohn with The Guzzlers — and of course, great food and beverages at the post-race celebration. This years event will honor Dr. Denton A. Cooley — this was one of his favorite THI traditions!

There is fun for all ages, so mark your calendar. Share the great news with your family and friends, find your costume, and get ready to hit the town running on Halloween with the Texas Heart Institute.
